Les Fumées Blanches Sauvignon Blanc

Description

Les Fumées Blanches Sauvignon Blanc is the most emblematic creation of winemaker François Lurton, crafted in the southwest of France. Its name – “The White Mists” – refers to the gentle fog that blankets the vineyards, giving the grapes their distinctive freshness.

Made with 100% Sauvignon Blanc, this wine showcases French finesse in capturing the essence of an Atlantic climate: fresh, aromatic, and mineral. Cold fermentation and ageing on fine lees contribute to its volume, balance, and silky mouthfeel.

Recognised in international wine competitions such as the Concours Mondial du Sauvignon and Mundus Vini, Les Fumées Blanches stands out for its elegance, consistency, and excellent value, making it one of the most appreciated French whites on the global stage.

Winery

François Lurton, from one of the most influential families in French winemaking, founded his own estate in the 1980s with the goal of producing wines that genuinely reflect their origin.
In Gascony, his chosen terroir, the Atlantic breeze, limestone soils, and the slow ripening of Sauvignon Blanc provide the perfect environment to craft wines with distinct varietal purity and vibrant aromatics.

Every stage of production is meticulously carried out: night harvesting, gentle pressing, controlled fermentation, and ageing on lees, all to preserve the wine’s natural elegance and expressive character. The result is a well-balanced, refined white wine of notable finesse.
