Winery
Aalto Bodegas y Viñedos was founded in 1999 in Quintanilla de Arriba (Valladolid) as the result of a collaboration between two iconic figures in Spanish winemaking: Mariano García, former oenologist at Vega Sicilia for over 30 years, and Javier Zaccagnini, former director of the Ribera del Duero Regulatory Board. They shared a common goal: to produce wines of the highest quality, with a unique identity that reflects the character of the region’s historic vineyards.
The estate encompasses over 200 plots of Tempranillo (Tinto Fino) spread across various municipalities of the denomination, offering exceptional complexity and diversity. The winery merges traditional methods with modern precision winemaking, resulting in wines that are deep, elegant, and built to age gracefully.
Today, Aalto stands for excellence, balance, and modernity, and has become one of the most influential projects in Ribera del Duero, gaining recognition as a leading Spanish wine internationally.
