Its name pays tribute to the footprints of the brown bear, a native of the Bierzo mountains, with four steps symbolising authenticity, respect, balance, and passion.

Winery
Bodegas Martín Códax, established in 1985 in Cambados (Galicia), is recognised as one of the leading producers of Atlantic-style Spanish wines. Although best known for its Albariño from Rías Baixas, the winery has expanded into other regions such as El Bierzo, where the Cuatro Pasos range is born.
In this area, they work with old Mencía vines grown on slate-rich soils at varying altitudes. Their philosophy is based on sustainable viticulture, respectful of the environment and focused on expressing the authenticity of the Bierzo terroir. A blend of tradition, freshness, and modernity defines the essence of their wines.
