Roku Gin
Description
Roku Gin is a handcrafted Japanese gin created by the renowned House of Suntory, acclaimed for its mastery in distillation and deep respect for tradition.
Its name, Roku — meaning “six” in Japanese — refers to the six native botanicals that define its character: cherry blossom, cherry leaf, sencha tea, gyokuro tea, sanshō pepper, and yuzu.
Each botanical is harvested at peak season, distilled individually, and expertly blended to capture the seasonal harmony of Japan.
The result is a refined, balanced and deeply aromatic gin that unites oriental elegance with modern distillation techniques.
Awarded in global competitions such as the San Francisco World Spirits Competition and the International Wine & Spirit Competition, Roku Gin has become a favourite among bartenders and discerning spirits lovers alike.
Distillery
Crafted by House of Suntory, a pioneer in Japanese whisky and spirits since 1899, Roku Gin embodies more than a century of expertise and dedication to artisanal perfection.
Production takes place at the Osaka Distillery, where the six native Japanese botanicals are carefully integrated with traditional ingredients such as juniper, coriander, bitter orange peel, lemon, and cinnamon—achieving a perfect balance of freshness, complexity, and subtlety.
The hexagonal bottle, made of engraved glass, symbolises Roku’s philosophy: precision, beauty and reverence for nature. Each face represents one of the six Japanese botanicals that bring the spirit to life.
